Lyme Disease update… Well, I have been undergoing treatment for chronic Lyme disease since May 2017. I have had to be on prescription antibiotics as well as herbal antibiotics and many other medicines. We have also been treating my Hashimotos, SIBO, and adrenal fatigue. I had blood work done again last week and my thyroid is still crazy, I have hypo symptoms but hyper numbers, so we are having to adjust my medicine. I also found out that I most likely developed another autoimmune disease, Lupus. My CD57 has still not improved, so that means more blood work for confections such as Bartonella, and Babesia. I will begin another 2 month bout of antibiotics while continuing my herbal antibiotics as well. My weight has been all over the place despite lifting 6 days per week, doing cardio 7 days, and tracking macros diligently, and will probably increase again after my thyroid medication adjust. It is beyond frustrating and disheartening, but I refuse to give up and let Lyme disease ruin my body and life. I will share a insight of what my daily routine looks like: I set an alarm to take my thyroid meds, then go back to sleep… Upon waking I take my morning medicines, have a cup of organic coffee, and then I walk my dog (she is the best). I work, do my best to workout, take more medicine throughout the day (4 times), go to school, be a wife, cook, clean, and more.. Please do not give up on yourself, always have goals and be proud of your achievements. Sure I don't do as much I as I feel I need to some days, but that is okay. I will not my chronic illnesses define me. I do miss bodybuilding, but that is just something that has to be put on hold until I heal my body.
