Good morning! I am writing this in the hope that it can help at least one person. I don’t post a lot about it but I have decided to help spread awareness about Autoimmunity. I have been diagnosed with hashimotos, adrenal fatigue, PCOS, SIBO, and we believe that I have Celiac disease as well (I refuse to eat gluten to be tested, I get extremely ill). I encourage you to get blood work done if you feel like something isn't right with your body. I had to do extensive research and go in requesting certain things, and just be very persistent. Also, make sure to find the right doctor or specialist who will listen to your concerns, there are so many out there who just want to give you a "pill" to make symptoms. Following a specific diet can also help relieve symptoms.:-)
Never give up when you feel like something isn't right with your body. It has taken me years to figure out why I was sick most of the time. I struggle with severe IBS-C which I found out to be caused by SIBO, which goes hand in hand with Hashimotos and Celiac. I also had very low hormone levels, fatigue, weakness, brain fog, and the list goes on and on. I have learned how to control my symptoms using diet, lifestyle, and supplements. I do take Armour Thyroid, but it is out of necessity due to the amount of damage that was caused to my Thyroid. If prescriptions are needed, I am completely fine with that. However, I will try all of the lifestyle interventions that I can.
I began following an AutoImmune Protocol and low FODMAP Diet almost a year ago, after eating “Paleo” for several years. I still body build and plan on competing in Figure again in the future. I still practice a technique called “flexible dieting”, where I track my macronutrients. As someone who has previously struggled with a fear of food, this makes sure that I eat enough. I do still lift heavy and walk a lot, but I keep my high intensity training to a minimum because it is very hard on my body.
I don’t plan on letting an autoimmune condition rule my life, I plan on living my life to the fullest and accomplishing my goals! :-)
There is a lot of information on the Auto Immune Protocol and many recipes online. I will list a few of my favorite resources below:

Best of luck, and here is my latest recipe creation:
Rosemary-Citrus pot roast, modified from the autoimmunepaleo cookbook. Healthy and delicious.
2-3lb grass fed beef roast (I used an eye round cut) seared in 1 tbsp. of beef tallow, juice from 4 clementines, carrots, parsnips, radishes, bone broth (homemade), rosemary, and salt. Bake in a roasting pan at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
